Our social activist and owner of Aam Admi Party Arvind Kejriwal is one of the most active politician in India. Not only in Delhi but also in whole India everyone knows him after his revolution for Janlok Pal bill. Many peoples knows about him many things but here you will get to know some different and unknown facts about Mr. Kejriwal.

1. He was born on Janmashtami (birth day of Lord Krishna) and one day after the Independence day of India.


2. AK’s grandfather Mangal Chand Kejriwal wanted him to  be a doctor and even bought a land in Hissar, Haryana where he could build a hospital for Arvind to practice. But Arvind was inspired more from his seniors who joined IITs and  finally he decided to do engineering from IIT only.

3. Kejriwal was always a bright student. He cleared IIT entrance in his first attempt and also qualified for Indian Revenue Services later.


4. During his engineering days, Kejriwal had a keen interest in theater and acting.

6. In 2000, he took a paid leave for 2 years to pursue higher education. He later joined in 2003 but resigned after 18 months with a zeal of doing something for nation. Everybody was quite shocked in his family and relatives when they came to know that this young man left the post of Joint Commissioner of Income tax in New Delhi.

7. Arvind Kejriwal worked with Mother Teresa in Kolkata.
  • The youngest CM of Delhi had a job in Tata Steel, Jamshedpur after his engineering. However, he quit his job and spent time in Kolkata, at the Ramakrishna Mission in north-east India. It was during this time that he met Mother Teresa and worked with her.
8. Kejriwal is married to Sunita, an IRS herself and Kejriwal's batchmate from National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie and the National Academy of Direct Taxes in Nagpur.

9. He became one of the five most mentioned Indian politicians on social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook in the run-up to the Delhi legislative assembly election, 2013.
