1. He was born on Janmashtami (birth day of Lord Krishna) and one day after the Independence day of India.
2. AK’s grandfather Mangal Chand Kejriwal wanted him to be a doctor and even bought a land in Hissar, Haryana where he could build a hospital for Arvind to practice. But Arvind was inspired more from his seniors who joined IITs and finally he decided to do engineering from IIT only.
3. Kejriwal was always a bright student. He cleared IIT entrance in his first attempt and also qualified for Indian Revenue Services later.
4. During his engineering days, Kejriwal had a keen interest in theater and acting.

7. Arvind Kejriwal worked with Mother Teresa in Kolkata.
- The youngest CM of Delhi had a job in Tata Steel, Jamshedpur after his engineering. However, he quit his job and spent time in Kolkata, at the Ramakrishna Mission in north-east India. It was during this time that he met Mother Teresa and worked with her.
8. Kejriwal is married to Sunita, an IRS herself and Kejriwal's batchmate from National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie and the National Academy of Direct Taxes in Nagpur.
